Dr. Fauci Lies about Hydroxychloroquine’s Effectiveness for COVID-19 Treatment

Despite Dr. Fauci’s disinformation, HCQ provided a 50% clearance of COVID-19 from patients on average 2 days before placebo.  Day 4 is when HCQ treated patients were halfway through, whereas placebo group made it to that point at day 6.  TGP reported on Hydroxychloroquine’s effectiveness in March of 2020, how many lives could have been saved had mainstream media not spread this misinformation?

  1. Michigan Man with Coronavirus Has Near-Death Experience – Is Saved by Hydroxychloroquine Treatment… Then UNLOADS on Liberal Gov. for Limiting Access to Life-Saving Drug to the Sick (On Friday, coronavirus survivor Jim Santilli blasted Michigan Governor Whitmer after he was saved from the virus by a hydroxychloroquine treatment.)

    They Said

  1. Dr. Fauci says all the ‘valid’ scientific data shows hydroxychloroquine isn’t effective in treating coronavirus (“You look at the scientific data and the evidence. And the scientific data ... on trials that are valid, that were randomized and controlled in the proper way, all of those trials show consistently that hydroxychloroquine is not effective in the treatment of coronavirus disease or Covid-19,” the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said during an interview on MSNBC.)

    Consensus

  1. Hydroxychloroquine with or without azithromycin for treatment of early SARS-CoV-2 infection among high-risk outpatient adults: A randomized clinical trial (A closer look at the graphs included in this study actually indicate a quicker clearance of Covid-19 (especially in days 3-4 of illness) in patients. )
  2. Hydroxychloroquine is effective, and consistently so when provided early, for COVID-19: a systematic review (We searched PubMed, Cochrane, Embase, Google Scholar and Google for all reports on HCQ as a treatment for COVID-19 patients. This included preprints and preliminary reports on larger COVID-19 studies. We examined the studies for efficacy, time of administration and safety. HCQ was found to be consistently effective against COVID-19 when provided early in the outpatient setting. It was also found to be overall effective in inpatient studies. No unbiased study found worse outcomes with HCQ use. No mortality or serious safety adverse events were found. HCQ is consistently effective against COVID-19 when provided early in the outpatient setting, it is overall effective against COVID-19, it has not produced worsening of disease and it is safe.)
