The illegal acquiring of Donald Trump’s tax returns is a story in it of itself, however this false story insinuating Trump avoided taxes was conveniently released a month before the 2016 election. The Trump campaign responded with the statement: “Mr. Trump has paid hundreds of millions of dollars in property taxes, sales and excise taxes, real estate taxes, city taxes, state taxes, employee taxes and federal taxes, along with very substantial charitable contributions.” There has been no “debunking” of this statement to date.
